Has everyone read the book? May I stop referring to my darlings as [SPOILER] and say their names? Silly, I know, but I feel like I'm being rude by not mentioning them by name now - rude and disrespectful. Yes, I know they're fictional. But, yknow, I love them. and you do know this, b/c its not like I haven't raved about them for the past umpteen years.


My 'Diversity in Health' class is already ticking me off. B/C the lecturer got up and apologised for the stolen generation, begged permission to give the lecture on land that white australia doesn't own, and basically pissed off everybody in the room. THEN she proceeded to inform us that, when we are nursing, we must never get mad at aboriginal/torres strait islanders if they are rude or uncooperative when we are trying to, y'know, nurse them because it is not their fault, it is white peoples fault. There is no excuse to be rude. It is no one's fault but your own. So, I can already see how I'll have problems with this class. B/c the lecturer is a tool.


My other classes seem ridiculously interesting, albeit very heavy on the study. Apparently I need to spend a good 7 hours at least on each one, outside of class time. Is this normal, oh everyone else who has gone/will go to normal universities before?
